Zuma
ESTIMATED AGE: 1 year
SIZE: Large (75 lbs)
GENDER: Male
✅ Plays well with some other dogs
✅ Will chase but does not harm cats
✅ Good with kids but is rowdy and rough
✅ Crate trained
❌ House trained
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Zuma is great big pup who loves to play, cuddle, walk, and nap! Zuma would be such a fun adventure dog to take on hikes or on outdoor journeys. He has a lot of learning to do, so Zuma will need an adopter committed to working with and teaching a young dog new tricks. Even more than that, Zuma needs to learn how to exist in the world. He loves everyone he meets, but growing up in the shelter takes a toll on a pup's development.
The best kind of home for Zuma:
Like any young dog, Zuma will require a committed family who can work with him to become the best boy he can be. Zuma is reactive to other dogs and will get worked up when he sees them, but he can very easily be redirected. He does, however, do very well interacting with select other dogs. He has tested well with cats but can be rambunctious if left to his own devices. He needs some guidance and to learn basic obedience and manners. Our staff will give any potential adopter advice on how to best set Zuma up for success.

Baron
ESTIMATED AGE: 2 years
GENDER: Female
SIZE: Medium, 46 lbs
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Baron is brand new to rescue, so there is still a lot to learn about this guy! We do know he is smart, spunky, and loves to play! Baron lives for a good game of tug or fetch. He can't wait to find a family who can teach him how to play a good game and really spend time building that relationship with them. He is a spitfire of a dog who always has a lot to say but is never anything but friendly with all the people he meets.
The best kind of home for Baron:
There is still so much to learn about Baron. He is young and excitable, so he would likely do best in a home looking for a more active pup. He will need more than a walk around the neighborhood to be fulfilled on a daily basis. Because Baron was a stray, we do not yet know how he is with younger children, other dogs, or cats. We will assess his personality more as he decompresses in the shelter to determine if he would be a good fit with children, and we are happy to test him with other dogs and cats for a serious applicant.

Jamie Lee (adoption pending)
ESTIMATED AGE: 4 years
GENDER: Female
SIZE: Medium (46 lbs)
✅ Dog friendly
✅ Older, respectful children
✅ House/crate trained
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Jamie Lee is going to steal your heart, we just know it. She is a fairly docile dog who lived most of her life with an older man who could no longer provide her appropriate care. Jamie Lee is extremely sweet and has never met a stranger. She can be very nervous in new spaces and when doing new things (the stairs at the shelter are the scariest experience). She rides well in the car and is excellent on a leash. Her favorite treats are pigs ears, and we can't wait to find out more about her favorite activities.
The best kind of home for Jamie Lee:
Jamie Lee has, from what we have seen and from her previous owner's reports, been a very easy-going girl. She will make an excellent companion for a more semi-active dog home. She has not yet been tested with other dogs or cats, but we are happy to do so for serious potential adopters. We anticipate she would do well with both.

Kyper
ESTIMATED AGE: 2 years
GENDER: Male
SIZE: Medium, 46 lbs
✅ Good with dogs
✅ Playful and curious with cats (needs supervision)
✅ Kid friendly
✅ House/crate trained
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Kyper is still very new to rescue, so we are getting to know more about his very sweet personality. So far he has been extremely sweet, never meeting a stranger. He is a happy-go-lucky little guy who loves to play fetch, go for walks, and just be near people. Upon first meeting, he can be a bit timid, but Kyper warms up so quickly and want to be your best friend. Catch this cutie peeking back at you as you walk, sometimes giving you a little bark of excitement. Kyper is going to make a stellar companion for his future family.
The best kind of home for Kyper:
Kyper is a moderately active dog who will thrive in a home where he can play fetch, take comy naps, and be surrounded by love. He is scared of fireworks and will chew up toys and beds, but Kyper will be an easy dog to teach. He already knows a few basic commands and walks well on a leash. His previous family said he is good with other dogs and curious about cats. Kyper does well with children but would be better with kids with more self-control.

Winnie
ESTIMATED AGE: 2 years
GENDER: Female
SIZE: Medium, 40 lbs
❌ Cat friendly
✅ House/crate trained
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Winnie loves people SO much. She is very excited and wiggly to see a new friend or an old friend and loves to have all your attention. She does very well at the vet and on car rides. Winnie's favorite games include playing tug and fetch and just being near her people. She walks very well on a leash and loves to do tricks for treats. Her former foster family said Winnie is a lap dog who just wants to be wherever you are.
The best kind of home for Winnie:
Winnie was found as a stray, so we do not know much about her history or where she came from. She would not be a good fit for a home with cats.

Oso
ESTIMATED AGE: 4 years
GENDER: Male
SIZE: Large, 70 lbs
✅ Dog selective
✅ Cat friendly according to previous owners
✅ Friendly with all ages
✅ House/Crate trained
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
This big bear of a dog cannot wait to find his people: Meet Oso! He is a big, playful guy who has never met a stranger. Oso can be timid in new environments, but he is always friendly with people of all ages. He loves going for car rides and playing games of tug. Oso is an adult dog without the challenges of puppyhood, so he will have no trouble falling right into home life. He came to Little Victories when a housing situation forced his people to surrender. Oso has bundles of energy just waiting for someone to play and take him for adventures!
The best kind of home for Oso:
Oso is an active dog who craves more than a neighborhood walk to be fulfilled. He loves to play games of tug and chasing around his toys. He would be great for an adopter looking to be active with a large dog. We have not formally tested Oso with dogs or cats, but his previous family said he does well. According to the previous family he prefers female dogs, but we will reassess for any serious potential adopters. He does better in a plastic crate as he does have a bit of confinement anxiety when left alone. Oso is, however, very clean in his space, never making messes or being destructive with bedding.

Fitz
Estimated age: 6 years
Gender: Male
Size: Medium, 45 lbs
✅ Loves other dogs
✅ Lived with cats
❌ Kid friendly
✅ House/crate trained
* In a foster home with professional dog trainers
What my foster family says about me:
Fitz is a goofy, playful guy! He loves going for long sniffy walks and playing tug. While in foster, Fitz has been learning very basic skills like walking nicely on a leash and coming when called, and he is doing brilliantly. Fitz can be timid with strangers in a home setting, but this is something he can work through. With a proper introduciton, Fitz warms up in no time! He settles very well in a crate and is motivated by both food and toys! This guy really thrives in a multi-dog household and will be an awesome addition to the right family.
The best kind of home for Fitz:
Fitz is looking for a home where he can be active on a regular basis. He needs regular exercise and playtime to be fulfilled, but that time with him is so rewarding! He loves to play fetch and take a good nap after. Any adopter for Fitz will receive free training sessions from Mountain Mutts LLC to help set him up for success. They will teach adopters his favorite games and how to make life with Fitz as rewarding as possible every day.
Bruce
Estimated age: 1 year
Size: Large, 70 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 1 year
✅ Loves most other dogs
❌ Likes kids but better with adults
✅ House/Crate trained
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Bruce is one silly guy. Bruce really gets excited to see the people he knows and loves. Car rides are his favorite activity, and he loves to go for long-line walks and learn new tricks for treats. He is goofy and playful with his dog friends, but he also likes to spend time with dogs who let him do his own thing. Bruce is always very happy to see a familiar face and will wiggle to greet someone he knows.
The best kind of home for Bruce:
Bruce is a very sweet dog who will thrive in a home with some structure. He was previously adopted and returned after displaying some odd behaviors, none of which we have seen in the shelter. Our behavior staff can help interested adopters set Bruce up to win with more information about how to manage his quirks and avoid problematic behaviors. He would do best in a home without children and should meet any other dog in the home before adoption.

Willow
ESTIMATED AGE: 3 years
SIZE: Medium, 45 lbs
GENDER: Female
✅ Dog friendly in previous home
❌ No kitties for Willow
✅ Loves humans of all ages
✅ House trained
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Willow is going to be so much fun for her future family! Catch this girl bouncy up to eye level to get your attention. Silly Willow will keep you smiling! Willow loves people of all ages and plays well with other dogs. She can be reactive on a leash and will need help learning leash manners, but she is very sensitive to instruction and guidance. Willow loves to play and go for walks. Her favorite game is tug or fetch, and she will play with anyone willing!
The best kind of home for Willow:
Willow would do best in a home ready for an active dog. She loves to play and will need help learning to manage reactivity on a leash. Our behavior staff can help potential adopters with resources and ways to do just that. Willow is a very social, happy dog who will make a great adventure buddy! She is not dealing well with shelter stress and could really use a break.

Cloud
Estimated age: 12 years
Size: XL, 83 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at Little Victories: 1 year
❌ Kid friendly
❌ House trained
❌ Crate trained
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Cloud is quite the character of an old man! He loves to be outside and to have lots of space to just exist in the outdoors. He really loves a good chew toy and can be cuddly when he wants to be. He can also be extremely grumpy when he is uncomfortable, and Cloud has a tough time adjusting to confined spaces. He is a Great Pyrenees whose personality is very typical of the breed. Cloud was born to guard livestock, so when he claims a space, he will defend it from anyone he does not trust. He is an old man, but he is not suitable for life as just a couch potato pet dog.
The best kind of home for Cloud:
Cloud came from farm life and would love to spend the rest of his days doing what he knows. The best home for Cloud will be with someone who has experience with livestock guardian breeds. He loves to be outside and would do well in an outdoor environment, but Cloud is not suitable for an apartment.

Luna
Estimated age: 4 years
Size: Medium, 50 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 1 year
✅ Lived with other dogs
✅ Does well with cats
❌ Better in homes without children
✅ House/crate trained
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Luna is sweet and cuddly and loves to play with other dogs. Her former foster family says she is full of energy and is an overall great dog. Luna is not very toy-motivated, but she does enjoy treats. She does well with most other dogs (meet and greet required) and has been around cats. She has not, however, interacted with children and would likely be uncomfortable around them.
The best kind of home for Luna:
Luna will do best with an adopter who will give her plenty of time and space to adjust on her own terms. Luna is sweet, but she can be standoffish and uncomfortable in new environments. Because of her health issues and the constant search for a cause, Luna will need a special diet and constant supervision. She needs a foster or adopter willing to work with Little Victories to maintain her health.
Howard
Estimated age: 3 years
Gender: Male
Size: Large, 60 lbs
Time at LV: 1 year
✅ Good with other dogs
✅ Great with kids, but does get excited
❌ House trained
✅ Crate trained
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Howard has such a great attitude about life! He is very sweet and loves to be wherever you are. He rides well in the car and is an overall great dog to have around, even when he is excited. His favorite activities are running, chewing on toys, getting cuddles, and playing tug. But Howard is all about the snuggles! Howard soaks up every second of affection he can get and can't wait to find that in a forever home!
The best kind of home for Howard:
Howard does well with strangers in and out of the home, and he has done well previously with other dogs and children. We have not tested him with cats. Howard has been known to guard his resources, so feeding seperately from other animals and watching him carefully with toys and coveted items will be essential. This is an all-around great dog who will really make his future family happy.

Oreo
Estimated age: 6 years
Size: Medium, 35 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 1 year
✅ Great with most other dogs
✅ Good with cats
❌ Not good with kids
✅ House/crate trained
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Oreo is an extremely lovable, high-drive Australian Cattle Dog mix who needs someone more quick-witted than she is. She is extremely smart and will act on her drive in any elevated situation. This dog is not for the average pet owner, but she can be very sociable with adult humans in the right context. She is full of energy and would love an adult family that can take her for adventures.
The best kind of home for Oreo:
Oreo needs an adopter who will not allow her to push them around and will work her mind as well as her body. A fenced yard and neighborhood walks are not gonna cut it for this girl who was made to work! She is house trained and does well in a crate (plastic is best). We do not recommend Oreo for a home with children. This girl wants to work, and we hope she can find a home where she can do just that. We adore this dog and her intense personality, and we think she is going to be a great addition to the right home.

Maddox
Estimated age: 2 years
Size: Medium, 45 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 1 year
✅ Loves other playful dogs
❌ No kids for this guy
❌ House trained
✅ Crate trained
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Maddox is young, outgoing, and full of spunky energy! He is hugely food motivated, playful, and loves to learn new things, but Maddox is very wary of strangers. His favorite things are playing with his dog friends and playing tug. He spent most of his formative months in the shelter, so he will need lots of structure and guidance to learn to adapt to home life. Maddox craves affection, but he is pent up and needs a VERY slow introduction to new people.
The best kind of home for Maddox:
Maddox has a lot of pent up excitement in the shelter. He is extremely teachable and willing to learn, especially for food, but Maddox will likely require professional training. He will need someone who can read his cues and interact with him respectfully until he is comfortable. Without taking it at his pace, Maddox is a bite risk. His best chance would be with an enthusiastic adopter willing to teach an active young dog new things like how to calmly ask for affection and exist in a busy world. He plays very well with other dogs but has not been tested with cats.

Molly
Estimated age: 4 years
Gender: Female
Size: Medium, 65 pounds
Time at LV: 2 years
❌ Dog friendly
✅ Happily lived with cats
✅ Teenager friendly
✅ House/crate trained
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Molly is very energetic and enthusiastic and is very sociable with people. She likes playing with a ball and learning new things! Molly is very reactive to other dogs and has had aggressive incidents with them. She is a very strong, powerful girl who needs proper direction. With the right guidance, however, Molly is learning to be great on a leash. She does, however do extremely well when crated and given ample enrichment/stimulation.
The best kind of home for Molly:
Molly has shown that she is very receptive to appropriate guidance and enjoys clear direction. She was initially difficult to walk on a leash, but with the introduction of proper training tools, she is making great progress. She does well on low-trigger walks and would thrive in a home that could continue professional training. She could also do well in a more rural environment that allows her the freedom of being a dog without constant triggers (dogs). Molly really is such a cuddly, sweet playful dog who just needs someone who can balance her quality of life with her triggers.

Paisley
Estimated age: 5 years
Size: Medium, 50 pounds
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 2 years
❌ Dog friendly
❌ Cat friendly
❌ Kid friendly
✅ House trained
✅ Crate trained
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Pretty Paisley loves attention and booty scratches from everyone she meets and is always happy to see a human friend. Some of her favorite activites include: playing tug, short adventure walks, and chasing the flirt pole. Paisley is full of energy and excitement, to say the least. She settles well in a kennel, but she loves being active. Paisley will make an excellent pet for an active-dog home (meaning her family actively spends productive time with her on a daily basis).
The best kind of home for Paisley:
Paisley gets very easily overaroused, so we do not recommend her for a family with children. She will need help learning to walk nicely on a leash as she is very strong and wants to chase small animals. Developing an off switch for her excited state will be very beneficial for her future family. She has a lot of energy that will require more fulfillment than daily neighborhood walks (examples: playing tug or with a flirt/spring pole, obedience training). Paisley will be a great pet dog for a family that can keep up her active lifestyle and manage her quirks.

Kai
Estimated age: 10 years
Size: Medium, 35 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 1 year
✅ Likes to play with other dogs
❌ Kid friendly
⚠️ Climbs fences
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
This girl is the best car buddy you can ask for. Kai is such a funny dog who will keep you entertained all day! Kai has some nervousness around strangers and prefers people who respect her space upon first meeting. She will be your buddy as long as you give her time to adjust! Once Kai gets to know you she is goofy, playful, vocal, independent, loves scratches, and still has a touch of mischief like she did when she was young.
The best kind of home for Kai:
Kai will make a great companion for someone willing to give her the space she asks for. She is sweet, silly, and cuddly once familiar, but she will lash out at a stranger. Kai does well with other dogs (meet and greet required) but should not live with young children. She is known to climb fences and should not be left outside unsupervised. Kai will need a home where her space is respected and affection comes on her terms. An ideal adopter will be an advocate for her in public settings and will keep strangers out of her space.

Jett
Estimated age: 7 years
Size: Medium, 45 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 2 years
❌ Dog friendly
❌ Cat friendly
✅ Older kid friendly but better with adults
✅ House/crate trained
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Jett is a sweet hound dog with a big hound dog bark! This guy is such a sweetheart to the people he knows and trusts. Jett loves to go for long sniffy walks, but his favorite activity is a good cuddle. He enjoys the company of staff, walks, eating, getting snuggles, and sniffing around in the play yard. His unique howls are a welcome song around the farm. He is still pretty anxious in the shelter despite spending more than a year here, but long walks help ease his stress.
The best kind of home for Jett:
Jett is a unique guy who will need a special family willing to let him fit in at his pace. He is very sweet but needs time to learn to trust the people around him. Jett has had a couple resource guarding issues since being in our care and should not live with other animals or young children. He mostly wants to spend his time sniffing around and being a hound dog!

Axton (adoption pending)
Estimated age: 5 years
Size: Large, 70 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 2 years
✅ Great with dogs
✅ Loves people of all ages
❌ House trained (but would learn quickly)
✅ Crate trained
⚠️ Climbs fences
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Axton is the first dog to say "hello" at Little Victories. He is a big excitable boy who loves people and getting lots of pets and affection. He is a very fun dog who will have loads of spunk for his future family to teach him new things! Within the shelter environment, Axton tends to be reactive and anxious. However, when taken out of this stressful place, he is much calmer and ready to seek out the world. Axton is very food-motivated! He plays very well with most other dogs and has quickly become one of our best helpers for assessing new pups and their temperaments.
The best kind of home for Axton:
Axton is looking for a home ready to give a big, excitable dog all the affection he could ever want. He is very nervous in the shelter environment but he shines when he gets away from the stress. Axton would be more fulfilled on a long, quiet hike than on neighborhood walks, but the future is so bright for this guy. Axton would be a very fun dog for anyone willing to put in some time harnessing his energy into a constructive outlet that builds the relationship between handler and dog!

Pedro
Estimated age: 8 years
Size: Large
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 6 years
✅ Dog selective
❌ Cat friendly
✅ Older-kid friendly
⚠️ Home visit may be required
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
This fluffy bear can't wait for belly rubs every day. Pedro is a big guy who loves adults and having lots of room to run and play. Pedro likes going for walks and playing with toys -- balls are his favorite, especially large herding balls! He loves rolling around on his back and, like most malamutes, will serenade you with his singing voice. He is such a ham and will give you the puppy eyes for snacks, walks, and scratches.
The best kind of home for Pedro:
Pedro needs a home without cats or small children, but he is OK with select other dogs (meet and greet required). He loves being outdoors! This big guy needs a strong owner who can handle his size. He is not suitable for apartment life and would do best with a securely fenced yard. If deemed necessary, he may require a home visit for adoption as one of our Sanctuary Sweethearts.

Bart
Estimated age: 12 years
Size: Large, 95 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 7 years
✅ Dog friendly but will guard resources
❌ Cat friendly
✅ Older kid friendly
✅ House/Crate trained
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Dancing boy Bart does the cutest happy dance when he is excited! He loves taking sniffy walks and enjoys lounging around in a big yard. Watch his ears bounce as he trots along beside you! He is a big, senior guy who won't require much in terms of burning energy. Mostly Bart just wants to hang out! He likes to keep his things -- toys, treats, bedding -- to himself, so he will certainly need a forever home that can be careful around coveted items.
The best kind of home for Bart:
Bart is a big goofy guy who would ideally love to be the only king in his castle. Although he could potentially live with select dogs, he needs an adopter who can separate him from other animals in the house during meal times or when he has a special chew, toy, or valuable item. This could look like giving him his own room to eat/have special bones in or putting him in a crate. He is a semi-active guy who would do well in a laid back home. He has lived at LV for more than four years, so time to adjust will be essential for this handsome guy!

Sadie
Estimated age: 12 years
Size: Medium, 43 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 9 years
❌ Dog friendly
❌ Cat friendly
❌ Kid friendly
✅ House trained
✅ Crate trained
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Sadie lives for attention and sneaking bites of your snacks. She is always ready to say hello to a human friend! Sadie is the queen of spunk. She is a senior, but she has lots of energy and loves to play. After seven years in the shelter, Sadie would love to find a place to relax for the rest of her days.
The best kind of home for Sadie:
Sadie should not live with other animals as she has had altercations with other dogs. She does well with adults, but she should not live with children due to her excitability and anxiousness. She is house trained and walks well on a leash. Sadie will be a great dog in a home where she can be the star, and she would love a place to live out her senior years.

Bolt
Estimated age: 14 years
Size: Large, 90 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 6 years
✅ Dog selective
❌ Cat friendly
❌ Kid friendly
❌ House trained
⚠️ Requires long-term medication (arthritis)
⚠️ May require home visit
⚠️ Hospice - terminally ill
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Bolt is in his final months of life. He has a cancerous mass on his liver and is not healthy enough for surgery. Bolt has a hard time getting around, but this guy is so sweet and lovable. He loves people and would do well with older children who respect his space. Bolt should be separated from other animals for feedings as he tends to resource guard his meals. His ideal life would be spent exploring a fenced-in yard for the rest of his days with a comfy place to rest when he is tired. This big, sweet boy needs a place to spend the rest of his life in comfort. He may not get around well, but Bolt loves to walk and sniff and explore in very short bursts.
The best kind of home for Bolt:
Bolt would do best as an only pet, but he could work with select dogs if fed seperately. He's a big, senior dog who takes medication for arthritis twice a day. Bolt would love a home with a big fenced yard to explore. He may require a home visit, if deemed necessary, to adopt. As an older dog, he does best with people who respect his space and don't force his attention.

Sasha
Estimated age: 14 years
Size: Medium, 40 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 14 years
✅ Dog selective
❌ Cat friendly
❌ Kid friendly
✅ House trained
⚠️ Special needs (Deafness)
⚠️ May require home visit
What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Sasha is always happy to see people she knows in the morning! Because she can't hear you coming, you can often catch her in the cutest positions snoozing away without a care in the world. She has spent most of her life at Little Victories, so the transition to a home environment would likely be very difficult for her. She loves to play with toys and go for walks like any dog! She would love to do so in a home for as long as she has left. With a clean bill of health, that could be years!
The best kind of home for Sasha:
Sasha is deaf and needs a family that can handle a special-needs senior. She needs a house with no kids, but she could possibly live with another dog if the environment is correct. Sasha has done well in a kennel. As one of our Sanctuary Sweethearts, Sasha may require a home visit if deemed necessary.
