Blue

Estimated age: 11 months
Size: Medium, 60 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: Less than 1 month
✅ Dog friendly
✅ Cat friendly
✅ Kid friendly
✅ House trained
✅ Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
This smart boy is so sweet and loves everyone he meets. From day one as part of the LV family, Blue has been a bouncy, happy-go-lucky guy! He loves his toys, especially those he can chew on to occupy his time. Leave him with a stuffy, and it will be shredded. He is very easily distracted by the world around him, but he is a very smart dog who is willing to work. He loves to play with other dogs, and his favorite game is tug.

The best kind of home for Blue:
This guy will make the transition into a home very easily. He has worked with a trainer and knows basic commands (sit, down, place, heel). Blue is known to dig, so he must be supervised when outside. Blue is young and spunky, so setting boundaries will be essential to his success. He is so motivated to learn and will pick up new things quickly. An ideal home will continue his training to best set him up for success.

Roxy

Estimated age: 7 months
Size: Small, 25 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: Less than 1 month
✅ Dog friendly
✅ Cat friendly
✅ Kid friendly
❌ House trained
✅ Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Roxy needs a place where someone can commit to her. This adorable little girl is sweet, gentle, and soft, and she will shine in a home that can learn to lead her. She is very nervous in new environments and around loud noises, but she loves everyone she meets slowly and appropriately. Roxy loves to play with plushies, but she will destroy them given the opportunity. She is an overall very sweet little pup who will make an excellent companion.

The best kind of home for Roxy:
Roxy's best chance will be with a family willing to help build her confidence. She is young and teachable, but her nerves get the best of her sometimes. She has previously done well with cats and children (slow introduction and respectful children would be best). Roxy is initially insecure and nervous with other dogs, but her previous home said she is playful once she gets to know them. She is not quite house trained, but has a strong basis and will pick it up quickly. She does not mess in her crate.

Hickory

Estimated age: 1 year
Size: Large, 56 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 1 month
✅ Dog friendly
❌ Cat friendly
✅ Kid friendly
❌ House trained
✅ Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
This hound dog is one in a million. Hickory is brand new to rescue, so we are still getting to know her. We do know she does well with other dogs but does not like cats at all. Mostly Hickory wants to do her own thing around other pups. She does very well with people of all ages and loves to be social. Her bark is huge, but she is very gentle and sweet. Mostly she is a hound dog with a hound nose. She loves to smell and explore her surroundings!

The best kind of home for Hickory:
Hickory does very well with dogs and people, but she should not live with cats. She has a great history with children as she is very sweet and gentle for a large dog. She is not destructive with toys or bedding, but she will need some help with house training. Hickory is very familiar with being crated and does not make messes in them.

Maddox

Estimated age: 9 months
Size: Medium, 45 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 3 months
Dog friendly
✅ Older kid/teenager friendly
❌ House trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Maddox is young, outgoing, and ready to have all of your attention! He is hugely food motivated, playful, and loves to learn new things. His favorite things are playing with his dog friends and meeting new people. This will greatly benefit his adopter, as he is a younger pup who needs lot of guidance. Maddox craves affection and will do just about anything to get it! This can lead to some mouthiness, but it is a very correctable behavior. Mostly Maddox is very pent up in the shelter environment. His future family can help ease that excitement with walks and other activities to stimulate his brain.

The best kind of home for Maddox:
Maddox has a lot of pent up excitement in the shelter, which is why it is so important for him to find a home before bad habits become his way of life. He is extremely teachable and willing to learn, especially for food! His best chance would be with an enthusiastic adopter willing to teach an active young dog new things like how to walk on a leash and calmly ask for affection. He plays very well with other dogs but has not been tested with cats. Because he is rambunctious, we reccommend dog-savvy teenagers for this guy.

Sugar

Estimated age: 2 years
Size: Medium, 50 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 3 months
✅ Dog friendly
✅ Kid friendly
❌ House trained
✅ Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Sugar is a true hound dog! Floppy ears, goofy personality, and a nose that never stops! She loves to explore and catch a good trail. Sugar came to Little Victories hours after giving birth to eight puppies. She has since weaned them and has been spayed. Now it's her turn to find a forever place to spend her days! She loves people of all ages and will be a lovable, sweet hound dog for her family.

The best kind of home for Sugar:
Sugar will do well in most homes. She loves people and does well with everyone she has met. She will always come in for a hug or to give your face a good sniff! She is crate trained, but will need some structure to learn housetraining. She loves to be around other dogs and is very goofy and playful with them.

Phoenix

Estimated age: 1 year
Gender: Female
Size: Medium, 45 lbs
Time at LV: 4 months
 Dog friendly (with management)
✅ Kid friendly

✅ House trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Phoenix has never skipped leg day. Probably part kangaroo, Phoenix prefers life on two legs when things get really exciting! This girl is a wiggly, happy, ball of joy every time she meets a new person. People are her favorite things! She is playful and loves to go for walks, though she may need a little help learning to walk nicely. Phoenix has not quite mastered fetch yet, but she loves to chase a ball! She is very reactive to other dogs and will need lots of management to be able to safely interact with them, but she is plenty of fun on her own!

The best kind of home for Phoenix:
Phoenix is an adolescent dog with a lot of learning to do! She is extremely social and has never met a stranger, but she is a large, excitable dog who could easily knock over small children. She is very insecure when interacting with other dogs, so we recommend she be the only dog in a household unless an experienced owner is willing to very carefully manage all interactions. But Phoenix is a great dog who would make an excellent only pet. She has not yet been tested with cats.

Rio

Estimated age: 1 year
Size: Medium, 35 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 5 months
✅ Dog friendly
Older kid friendly
❌ House trained
✅ Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Rio is ready to wiggle her way into your life! This happy dog is affectionate and playful with her human friends. Sometimes she needs a minute to warm up (usually a quick walk will do the trick), but she is ready to cuddle excitedly as soon as she decides you are friends. Rio likes to run and play in the play field. She is not fully house trained, but she will hold it for as long as she can! She came to us as a stray, so we do not know much about her history.

The best kind of home for Rio:
Rio will make a fun addition to her future home. She has not been tested with cats and would likely do better with older, respectful children who do not pester her. Rio does well with certain dogs who are not too pushy or excitable, but she does like to play! She is not quite house trained, but she will be very easy to teach. Rio is extremely affectionate, but she does need some time to warm up to new people. With proper guidance and some work on building her confidence, she would be a stellar companion in no time at all!

Arizona

Estimated age: 1 year
Size: Medium, 45 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 5 months
✅ Dog friendly
✅ Cat friendly

✅ Kid friendly
House trained
✅ Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Arizona LOVES people! She is wiggly and full of joy when anyone approaches, and she usually has a toy in her mouth when she says hello. She is extremely affectionate with people and plays well with select dogs who can match her energy. We have not seen her interact with kids, but she would likely be fine with respectful children. Arizona is young and has not had a lot of exposure to things. She can be a bit timid in new environments and with new elements (like stairs, new rooms, etc.) A little work on confidence building would quickly make her into a stellar companion!

The best kind of home for Arizona:
Arizona is young, but she is going to be a great companion for anyone willing to help her be as confident as possible. She can be a bit nervous in new environments, but nothing beyond what is typical of an adolescent dog. She does well with dogs who can match her energy, so she should meet any other dogs in the home before adoption. Arizona is extremely sociable and should be a great pup for her future family! She can climb fences and should not be left unsupervised outside.

Molly

Estimated age: 4 years
Gender: Female
Size: Medium, 65 pounds
Time at LV: 7 months
❌ Dog friendly
❌ Cat friendly
❌ Kid friendly
✅ House trained
✅ Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Molly is very energetic and enthusiastic and is very sociable with people. She likes playing with a ball and learning new things! Molly is very reactive to other dogs and has had aggressive incidents specifically with dogs. She is a very strong, powerful girl who is difficult to manage without proper direction. With the right guidance, however, Molly is learning to be great on a leash. Because of her temperament, Molly is deeply struggling in the shelter, causing her to be anxious and drop weight dramatically.

The best kind of home for Molly:
After a few weeks at Little Victories working with professional trainers, Molly has shown that she is very receptive to appropriate guidance and enjoys clear direction. She was initially difficult to walk on a leash, but with the introduction of proper training tools, she is making great progress. She does well on low-trigger walks and would thrive in a home that could continue professional training. She could also do well in a more rural environment that allows her the freedom of being a dog without constant triggers (dogs). Molly really is such a cuddly, sweet playful dog who just needs someone who can balance her quality of life with her triggers.

Paisley

Estimated age: 3 years
Size: Medium, 50 pounds
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 10 months
✅ Dog selective
❌ Cat friendly
❌ Kid friendly (Teenagers OK)
 House trained
Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Paisley is full of energy and excitement, to say the least. She settles well in a kennel, but she loves being active. Tug is her favorite game, and Little Victories is working to teach her how to drop the toy on command to make sure the game is safe and enjoyable for everyone. Paisley will make an excellent pet for an active-dog home (meaning her family actively spends productive time with her on a daily basis).

The best kind of home for Paisley:
Paisley gets very easily overaroused, so we do not recommend her for a family with children. She will need help learning to walk nicely on a leash as she is very strong and wants to chase small animals. Developing an off switch for her excited state will be very beneficial for her future family. She has a lot of energy that will require more fulfillment than daily neighborhood walks (examples: playing tug or with a flirt/spring pole, obedience training). Paisley will be a great pet dog for a family that can keep up her active lifestyle and manage her quirks.

Kai

Estimated age: 8 years
Size: Medium, 35 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 9 months
✅ Dog friendly
❌ Kid friendly
⚠️ Climbs fences

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
This girl is the best car buddy you can ask for. Kai is such a funny dog who will keep you entertained all day! Kai has some nervousness around strangers and prefers people who respect her space upon first meeting. She will be your buddy as long as you give her time to adjust! Once Kai gets to know you she is goofy, playful, vocal, independent, loves scratches, and still has a touch of mischief like she did when she was young.

The best kind of home for Kai:
Kai does well with other dogs (meet and greet required) but should not live with young children. She has been known in her younger days to climb fences. Kai will need a home where her space is respected and affection comes on her terms. An ideal adopter will be an advocate for her in public settings and will keep strangers out of her space.

Vash

Estimated age: 3 years
Size: Large, 73 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 1 year
✅ Dog friendly
✅ Older kid friendly
✅ House trained
✅ Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Sweet boy Vash is an all-star pup! He loves to play with toys and is very food-motivated. He does extremely well on routine veterinary visits, and he overall is a great dog. This goofy pup loves playfield trips with his dog friends and enjoys the company of people he knows! He may need slow introductions with new people, but he has taken to staff fairly easily after an extensive decompression period.

The best kind of home for Vash:
As he meets and becomes more comfortable with new people and new environments, we know Vash has great potential, but he needs time and patience in new places. An ideal adopter will be someone who has experience with nervous dogs and knows how to advocate for them. Upon taking Vash home, he may need time to decompress and bond with his new family (no busy or loud environments/parties, etc.). The future is so bright for this dog. He is neutral with new people outside of a kennel, especially if they give him space. Vash is great with dogs and is one we use to test other dogs' temperaments. We do not recommend a home with young children because of his nervousness.

Duke

Estimated age: 3 years
Size: Medium, 50 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 11 months
✅ Dog selective
Kid friendly
✅ Crate trained
House trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Duke is one funny pup. We anticipate life outside of a shelter will be much easier for him, but the constantly shifting environment is hard on this guy. He is a very laid-back dog, but he loves to go for walks and play fetch! He will have no trouble settling in once he is fulfilled. Duke is nervous in new situations and with new people, but with a quick walk, he warms up fast. He can be playful with other dogs given plenty of time to get used to them, but he prefers more mild-mannered buddies. Duke defintely needs some guidance on a leash, but with the right family, he will be a quick learner. He does not tear up toys or bedding and is overall a pretty easy dog.

The best kind of home for Duke:
Duke would thrive in a semi-active home with a family who can take him for walks or play fetch. His anxieties could greatly benefit from consistency and structure. Training with a professional who can help build his confidence would be great for this guy. He does well with some other dogs who match his personality, but he should meet any potential siblings before adoption. He is crate trained, house trained, and does well with older kids who can respect his nervousness and give hime space.

Duncan

Estimated age: 1 year
Size: Medium, 55 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 11 months
Dog friendly
❌ Cat friendly

✅ Crate trained
✅ Kid friendly
❌
House trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Duncan is the sweetest, cuddliest guy we know! He is very affectionate once he gets to know you. He does need a little time and neutrality to feel comfortable meeting new people, but give him some space and he will come to you. Pictures barely do this cute face justice, and he loves to cuddle up next to a person he knows and trusts. Duncan is young, bouncy, and playful, as any pup should be. He plays like a young dog, but he loves the company of other dogs who also want to play. He is one of our best testers for other pups!

The best kind of home for Duncan:
Duncan is young and adaptable, so with a family willing to put in the work, he will easily thrive. His nervousness can be greatly helped by investing in training and overall confidence building. He should meet any other dogs in the house before adoption and does not get along with cats. Duncan is not house trained, but he is crate trained.

Jett

Estimated age: 6 years
Size: Medium, 45 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 1 year
❌ Dog friendly
Cat friendly
 Older kid friendly
House trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:

Jett is a big hound dog with a big hound dog bark. He enjoys the company of staff, walks, eating, getting snuggles, and sniffing around in the play yard. His unique howls are a welcome song around the farm.

The best kind of home for Jett:
Jett has had a couple resource guarding issues with other dogs since being in our care and should not live with other animals or young children. He mostly wants to spend his time sniffing around and being a hound dog!

Axton

Estimated age: 3 years
Size: Large, 70 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 1 year
✅ Dog friendly
✅ Older kids

House trained
✅ Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Axton is the first dog to say "hello" at Little Victories. He is a big excitable boy who loves people and getting lots of pets and affection. He is a very fun dog who will have loads of spunk for his future family to teach him new things! He does struggle with reactivity toward other dogs and moving objects and is big and strong. With a proper outlet for his high-drive personality, Axton will shine! He plays very well with most other dogs and has quickly become one of our best helpers for assessing new pups and their temperaments.

The best kind of home for Axton:
We highly recommend Axton go to a home willing to work with him on basic structure and give him an outlet for his drive. He is very reactive in the shelter environment and would benefit from professional training. His future family should be able to handle a very large, reactive dog. He must meet any other dogs in the home before adoption and should only live with older kids who can handle a boisterous dog of his size. Axton would be a very fun dog for anyone willing to put in some time harnessing his energy into a constructive outlet that builds the relationship between handler and dog!

Ink

Estimated age: 2 years
Size: Medium, 65 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 1 year
✅ Dog friendly
❌ Cat friendly
✅ Older kid friendly
❌ House trained
✅ Crate trained
⭐ Adoption fee partially sponsored

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Ink is our favorite airhead! There may not be a lot of thoughts rolling around in his head, but every piece of him is silly, sweet, and entertaining! He loves to rest his head in your lap while you scratch it. Ink is notorious for consuming anything he can get his mouth on, from heavy-duty rubber toys to blankets/beds and gravel. He will stop if corrected, but he must be supervised or crated for his own safety. Ink loves food and has a great nose! He is a bit of a bully with other dogs, but he does great with dogs who pay his pushiness no mind. Ink is excellent on a leash and will be very enjoyable on neighborhood walks.

The best kind of home for Ink:
Ink is more of a semi-active dog, but he certainly has his burts of chaos. He can become overaroused and a bit mouthy, but it is very correctable. Ink should not be left unattended outside of a crate because of his tendency to make anything he sees into a snack. He plays well with others but should meet any potential dog siblings before adoption. He did test positive for E.Canis, so he will continue to test positive for the rest of his life but has been treated and has no lingering effects. He does extremely well in a crate but will need a bit of help with house training.

Ash

Estimated age: 2 years
Size: Medium, 65 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 1 year
✅ Dog friendly
❌ Cat friendly
✅ Older kid friendly
❌ House trained
⚠️ Climbs/jumps fences

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Ash is the prankster of our LV family! His parkour skills are unmatched, as are his climbing abilities. Ash made his way to LV by accident, dumped as a stray. Ash is incredibly sweet and playful and will give anyone a run for their money. He is always excited to see you as you approach his kennel and is a very social dog. He is a bit of an escape artist, so his future owners should take extra precautions and work on teaching him threshold boundaries. Ash is very smart and loves learning new things.

The best kind of home for Ash:
Ash is young and energetic, so he will need a family who can guide him in the world. He can become overaroused and a bit mouthy, but it is very correctable. He plays well with others but should meet any potential dog siblings before adoption. Ash is a master escape artist, so supervision will be key! This guy is very teachable and extremely food motivated.

Sixty

Estimated age: 1 year
Size: Medium, 45 lb
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 1 year
✅ Dog selective
✅ Cat friendly (with lots of supervision)
✅ Kid friendly
❌ House trained
✅ Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Found roaming Route 60, sweet Sixty is a majorly cuddly pup! He is very wiggly and happy to see anyone who crosses his path, rolling on the ground for immediate belly rubs. Sixty is going through his adolescent period in the shelter, but we just know he's going to be a great adult dog. He can be pushy with other dogs and does not understand most normal social cues, so he should not be left unsupervised with other pups. He does very well with dogs who can match his play style. Sixty loves children, but he is a large dog who can knock over smaller people.

The best kind of home for Sixty:
Sixty needs a lot of help learning how to exist in the world, including house training, as he has spent most of his life with us. Like any adolescent pup, he will require a family dedicated to nurturing and teaching him to be a dog. He does well with other dogs and cats who can handle his energy. Sixty has not had a lot of socialization and does not always respect social cues from other dogs. He should be supervised when with other animals. He has a hard time understanding boundaries with other dogs and would likely do better as the only one in the house. Sixty could live with another dog if his family is willing to manage his overarousal. He should not be left unattended outside of a crate.

Magnolia

Estimated age: 2 years
Size: Medium, 40 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 1 year
❌ Dog friendly
✅ Cat friendly
❌ Kid friendly (Older kids maybe OK)
❌ House trained
⭐ Adoption fee sponsored

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Magnolia will always find a way to make you laugh. She is a happy girl who sometimes can be nervous in new environments, but in general she is just a happy young dog looking for guidance. She typically does not do well with other dogs without excessive managament. Mags is a very quick learner who just wants to please her handler! She likes to play tug and walks very well on a leash. She has learned some basic commands and is extremely food-motivated.

The best kind of home for Magnolia:
Magnolia's family should be prepared to raise an anxious dog. She is learning how to exist in the world, and she needs lots of guidance. She should not live with young children because of her nerves. She most likely would not do well with smaller dogs, as she has shown increased prey drive around them. Well-socialized dogs who are medium to large are her best companions, but Magnolia would do best as the only pet in the home. She is not house trained, but she does much better in a home environment than at the shelter.

Jax

Estimated age: 3 years
Size: Medium, 30 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 3 years
✅ Dog selective
❌ Cat friendly
❌ Kid friendly

✅ House trained
✴️ Pre-approval required for meet-and-greet

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Sweet, playful, and cuddly, Jax needs a family he can trust so desperately. Jax had a hard start to his life and has had a rough time adjusting even during the two years he has spent with us. He needs LOTS of time to get to know new people, usually requiring several patient meetings. Please do not underestimate how much time this dog will need to be comfortable with new people. He has a lot of potential, but he will need a lot of guidance from his future family. Our professional trainers on staff can give a potential adopter advice on how to set Jax up for success.

The best kind of home for Jax:
Jax is dog selective and cannot live with children. He has shown fear aggressive behavior and needs a very experienced owner to help him through his distrust of new people and places. He would likely need professional help to be able to live in a home and requires pre-approval before a meet and greet. Jax is very food motivated and loves to play fetch in the playfield! He should meet any potential dog siblings before adoption. He is kennel trained and has not had any accidents while in our care.

Pedro

Estimated age: 7 years
Size: Large
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 5 years
Dog selective
❌ Cat friendly
✅ Older-kid friendly
⚠️ Home visit may be required

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
This fluffy bear can't wait for belly rubs every day. Pedro is a big guy who loves adults and having lots of room to run and play. Pedro likes going for walks and playing with toys -- balls are his favorite, especially large herding balls! He loves rolling around on his back and, like most malamutes, will serenade you with his singing voice. He is such a ham and will give you the puppy eyes for snacks, walks, and scratches.

The best kind of home for Pedro:
Pedro needs a home without cats or small children, but he is OK with select other dogs (meet and greet required). He loves being outdoors! This big guy needs a strong owner who can handle his size. He is not suitable for apartment life and would do best with a securely fenced yard. If deemed necessary, he may require a home visit for adoption as one of our Sanctuary Sweethearts.

Bart

Estimated age: 10 years
Size: Large, 95 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 5 years
Dog friendly
❌ Cat friendly
✅ Older kid friendly
✅ House trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Dancing boy Bart does the cutest happy dance when it’s time to eat! He loves taking sniffy walks and enjoys lounging around in a big yard. He is a big, senior guy who won't require much in terms of burning energy. Mostly Bart just wants to hang out! He does have a thick double coat that will need regular grooming to maintain.

The best kind of home for Bart:
Bart is a big goofy guy who would ideally love to be the only king in his castle. Although he could potentially live with select dogs, he needs an adopter who can separate him from other animals in the house during meal times or when he has a special chew. This could look like giving him his own room to eat/have special bones in or putting him in a crate. He is a semi-active guy who would do well in a laid back home. He has lived at LV for more than four years, so time to adjust will be essential for this handsome guy!

Pablo

Estimated age: 7 years
Size: Medium, 45 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 6 years
✅ Dog selective
❌ Cat friendly
❌ Kid friendly
✅ House trained
✅ Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:

Looking for all the excitement of a young dog without the challenges of puppihood? Pablo is your guy! He always wants to play and can have fun with other dogs, as long as he doesn't get too rough. He knows some basic commands and would be a great dog to teach. Pablo loves to play in water. He needs some direction learning how to cope when he becomes overaroused, but he responds well to instruction and guidance. He does great in a public setting and loves attention from anyone who will give it!

The best kind of home for Pablo:
This boy is in need of an experienced adopter or foster who can manage his excitement levels. Pablo has been working on simple commands and would love for someone to further his training. He is high-energy, but he is also goofy and wants to play. Pablo is dog selective, so a meet and greet with other dogs in the home is mandatory. He plays well when other dogs match his energy. He has spent most of his life at LV, but Pablo could really thrive with the right family.

Lucy

Estimated age: 13 years
Size: Medium, 55 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 11 years
Dog friendly
❌ Cat friendly
❌ Kid friendly
⚠️ May require home visit

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Lucy is a silly, sweet senior girl who has spent most of her life at Little Victories. She is calm for grooming and walks well on a leash. Lucy is very loving with adult humans, but she prefers to stay away from children and other animals. She is very food motivated.

The best kind of home for Lucy:
Lucy should be the only pet in an adult-only home. She has spent most of her time outside, so she is likely not house trained. She is a pretty low-key easy dog who would love a cozy place to live out her golden years. As one of our Sanctuary Sweethearts, Lucy may require a home visit before adoption if it is deemed necessary.

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Sadie lives for attention and sneaking bites of your snacks. She is always ready to say hello to a human friend! Sadie is the queen of spunk. She is a senior, but she has lots of energy and loves to play. After seven years in the shelter, Sadie would love to find a place to relax for the rest of her days.

The best kind of home for Sadie:
Sadie should not live with other animals as she has had altercations with other dogs. She does well with adults, but she should not live with children due to her excitability and anxiousness. She is house trained and walks well on a leash. Sadie will be a great dog in a home where she can be the star, and she would love a place to live out her senior years.

Zuri

Estimated age: 12 years
Size: Large, 56 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 10 years
✅ Dog selective
❌ Cat friendly
✅ Older kid friendly
❌ House trained
✅ Crate trained
✴️ Adoption fee sponsored

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Want to see the fastest 12-year-old dog you've ever met get the zoomies? Zuri is unstoppable! Zuri is an excellent hiking or walking buddy! She loves car rides (especially sticking her head out of the sunroof) and going out for adventures. She is full of entertainment, and she loves having her ears rubbed! Give her a crinkly toy and a nice walk, and this girl will be so happy. She is spunky for 12 and still has a lot of life to live!

The best kind of home for Zuri:
Zuri loves people, but she is not a fan of kitties. She is mostly house trained but she will need a bit of guidance. Supervision will be key, as with any dog. She has tested well with some dogs, so a meet and greet is required for any other dogs in the home. She would do better in a semi-active, adult only home. Zuri still has lots of spunk, but she knows how to relax.

Selia

Estimated age: 13 years
Size: Medium, 45 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 13 years
Dog friendly
❌ Cat friendly
 Older-kid friendly
✅ House trained

⚠️ May require home visit

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Selia is one of our oldest residents and has recently been promoted to office dog. She loves car rides and walking in the park, but she needs supervision around other dogs. With the right family, Selia could possibly live with another pup. She is a very smart senior dog! Selia has lived at Little Victories for a very long time, so the transition to a home environment would likely be a challenge.

The best kind of home for Selia:
Selia will need an adopter willing to supervise her with other dogs and children. As one of our Sanctuary Sweethearts, she may require a home visit for any potential adopters if deemed necessary. She has spent her entire life at Little Victories, so she will need an adjustment period in her future home. She was diagnosed with cancer recently and only has a prognosis of three to four years. We hope she can find a peaceful place to live out her days comfortably.

Fifi

Estimated age: 10 years
Size: XL, 93 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 9 years
Dog selective
❌ Cat friendly
Older kid friendly
⚠️ Requires long-term medication (joints/arthritis)

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:

Fifi is a big dog who loves to lounge around. Fifi is very loyal and has lots of love to give! She is a laid-back girl who loves to be outside. Fifi is the kind of dog who loves to ruin a good bath with a roll in the dirt. She is extremely lovable to those she knows and trusts. She has spent most of her time at Little Victories outside, so a transition inside would be an adjustment.

The best kind of home for Fifi:
Fifi mostly ignores other dogs around her in the sanctuary. She has lived at Little Victories for most of her life, so the adjustment to a forever family would be difficult for her. We hope that would not stop a potential adopter or foster. She loves to be outside and could live in a securely fenced outdoor area. Fifi has not had much if any experience with kids, so we do not recommend her to be around children. As one of our Sanctuary Sweethearts, a home visit my be required if deemed necessary. She takes medications to help ease the pain of arthritis on her big dog joints.

Bolt

Estimated age: 13 years
Size: Large, 90 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 5 years
✅ Dog selective
❌ Cat friendly
❌ Kid friendly

❌ House trained
⚠️ Requires long-term medication (arthritis)

⚠️ May require home visit

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Bolt is a great senior boy who loves to go on adventures and car rides! He loves people and would do well with older children who respect his space. Bolt should be separated from other animals for feedings as he tends to resource guard his meals. His ideal life would be spent exploring a fenced-in yard for the rest of his days. This big, sweet boy needs a place to spend the rest of his life in comfort. He may not get around well, but Bolt loves to walk and sniff and explore.

The best kind of home for Bolt:
Bolt would do best as an only pet, but he could work with select dogs if fed seperately. He's a big, senior dog who takes medication for arthritis twice a day. Bolt would love a home with a big fenced yard to explore. He may require a home visit, if deemed necessary, to adopt. As an older dog, he does best with people who respect his space and don't force his attention.

Sasha

Estimated age: 13 years
Size: Medium, 40 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 13 years
✅ Dog selective
❌ Cat friendly
❌ Kid friendly

✅ House trained
⚠️ Special needs (Deafness)
⚠️ May require home visit

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Sasha is always happy to see people she knows in the morning! Because she can't hear you coming, you can often catch her in the cutest positions snoozing away without a care in the world. She has spent most of her life at Little Victories, so the transition to a home environment would likely be very difficult for her. She loves to play with toys and go for walks like any dog! She would love to do so in a home for as long as she has left.

The best kind of home for Sasha:
Sasha is deaf and needs a family that can handle a special-needs senior. She needs a house with no kids, but she could possibly live with another dog if the environment is correct. Sasha has done well in a kennel. As one of our Sanctuary Sweethearts, Sasha may require a home visit if deemed necessary.

Annabelle

Estimated age: 15 years
Size: Medium, 40 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 14 years
Dog selective
❌ Cat friendly
✅ Older kid friendly
 House trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Annabelle is always very happy to see people and has a happy-go-lucky attitude that will brighten your day! Annabelle has been at Little Victories for 14 years, practically her entire life, so she is sometimes a bit nervous around new people. But don't worry, this lovable little hound quickly warms up when you become familiar! She is a senior, but she still likes to explore and sniff around. She is very dog selective and would do better with a male dog who is larger than her.

The best kind of home for Annabelle:
Annabelle needs a house with no smaller pets or kids because of her temperament. She has spent most of her life calling Little Victories home, so adoption would be an adjustment for her. The peace of a cozy place to rest for the rest of her life would be worth the time it takes her to adjust, however!

Willie

Estimated age: 15 years
Size: Medium, 56 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 15 years
✅ Dog selective
 Cat friendly
❌ Kid friendly
⚠️ May require home visit

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Willie is LV's longest resident. He has spent most of his 15 years of life on our farm, so it is the only home he's really ever known. Willie spent most of his life with his best friend, Wiggles, who has since passed. Willie just hasn't been the same since. He is used to his life with us and spends most of his days hanging out on his porch. But finding a comforting place to live out his days would be a game changer for Willie. He may not have long, but every moment of his life matters. With a recent cancer diagnosis, Willie is in his final weeks of life.

The best kind of home for Willy:
Willie is a senior, so any potential owner or foster should be prepared to care for him through the end of his life. Willie has lived in our sanctuary for more than 14 years, so transitioning to a home life may be difficult. But we know how relieved our older residents are just to feel a comfy bed and some air conditioning for a short period. Consider bringing a dog like Willie into your home, even for a short time.
